Money in Fiji
Fijian Dollar · $ · FJD
If a taxi has a meter, ask for it to be switched on; it is usually cheaper than a set fare.
Book only the first night through an agent, then try to negotiate a lower rate for the rest.
Smaller guesthouses may give much cheaper local rates when booked in person.
All-inclusive resorts and dive shops use a shared staff Christmas Box instead of tips.

About the data

Written from the sources we link, and checked against them before each release. Countrywise summarises public sources. We are not an official source. For safety and entry rules, always follow the official page we link to.

From your foreign ministry when it publishes its advice openly (Germany, the US, the UK). Otherwise we show those three side by side. Checked daily, with the date next to every entry.
