Money in Vanuatu
Vanuatu Vatu · VUV
Every bank charges a fixed 700 VT per ATM withdrawal on a foreign card, so withdraw larger sums less often.
Card payments usually carry a 3-5% surcharge, so cash is often cheaper.
Some hotels accept Australian dollars, in cash or to an Australian account, which can work out much cheaper.
Vatu are hard to change back abroad, so only buy as much as you will spend.

About the data

Written from the sources we link, and checked against them before each release. Countrywise summarises public sources. We are not an official source. For safety and entry rules, always follow the official page we link to.

From your foreign ministry when it publishes its advice openly (Germany, the US, the UK). Otherwise we show those three side by side. Checked daily, with the date next to every entry.
